The Colorado Plateau (due to geology and climate) provides a spectacular gallery for preserved rock art that spans approximately the last 3000 years. It is in fact the best location in the world for this time period. We will review how archaeologists have put this into a reasonable time-geographic context that spans 6 cultures.
