As always, we are grateful for the support from donors and foundations. These gifts were especially welcomed this year due to our limited programming opportunities. We are so grateful to everyone who patronized our offerings, donated financially and kept up with us on various social media platforms this year.
This year we saw the official end to our 2016 Capital Campaign with the State Historic Fund grant reports being finalized and final monies disbursed. The Friends of the Wright Opera House will be applying for another grant to repair our beautiful Meskar front and various other projects in the future, so keep an eye out for that news.
While it took longer than expected to be approved for our new Enterprise Zone Capital Campaign Project due to State closures, we were approved for our next project that focuses on economic development through increased programming and job creation. If you have questions regarding your tax credits, please contact our treasurer, Chuck Anderson.
The Friends of the Wright Opera House and the many patrons of performing arts, educational programs, and community events are grateful to our Colorado Foundation benefactors; Frank L Massard Trust; El Pomar Foundation; Woman’s Club of Ouray County; Ouray County Community Fund; Telluride Foundation; Colorado Creative Industries - Division of the Office of Economic Development and the State Historical Foundation
Your benevolence fuels our creativity!

We're working hard to make the Wright Opera House an open and welcoming venue to organizations throughout Colorado. We're also trying to restore a facility that is over 126 years old. Needless to say, we have our work cut out for us! If you have some praise for what we've done already or some feedback on what we could do better, please
