Witches, Maps & Theatre....Oh, My!

10-26-2020

Here we are in the final week of October, 2020. We are decorating today for this weekend’s Main Street Trick or Treat. The Witches of the Wright will be back this year stirring up their Wright Spooky Brew, so drop on by between 4 & 6 if you are brave enough!

Because of safety protocols that we are following here at The Wright, we have decided to move our yearly WrightEd series online. Larry Meckel will bring you this 5-part course beginning Tuesday, Oct. 27 from 9:30-11:30am. If you would like to learn more about the history and progression of maps and how humankind has used them, please sign up at this link: Maps that Changed the World

We also have the Ouray County theatre troupe, upstART, bringing us a one-woman show called The Amish Project. This is a fictitious look at the actual events that took place on October 2, 2006 at the West Nickel Mines School in Pennsylvania. Please make your plans to come see actress Lindsey Pierce portray a number of characters who will move you across the spectrum of emotions. UpstART will perform 4 shows and each show has 40 available seats. Please pre-purchase your tickets at This Link in order to help us set up the Theatre in a manner that will afford the most health and comfort to you while maintaining our COVID-19 Protocols.

We are still being very diligent in cleaning The Wright and following all protocols for your health and safety. This includes frequent and thorough cleaning of the entire building, hand sanitizer being available throughout the building, wearing masks, social distancing, plexiglass at the Box Office and diminished seating capacity. I appreciate that some of you are not yet wanting to be indoors with others who are not in your household, and I completely understand.  I am also grateful for those of you who do come to our limited offerings and are respectful of our 2020 guidelines. We look forward to the day when we can all come together again.
