Delusions and Grandeur

“As irreverent as it is poignant” — Australian Arts Review

Come for the music; stay for the existential crisis.

Genre-blurring jester and cellist Karen Hall peels back the layers of concert-hall formality until only the humanity—and insanity—of the artist behind the instrument remains. And, perhaps, yourself.

Featuring J. S. Bach’s Suite No. 1 in G Major alongside personal comedic pieces crafted in Idiot classes, Delusions and Grandeur fuses music, pathos, and foolery into a sharp, heartfelt performance about identity, expectations, and success.

Karen Hall is an award-winning performer based in Los Angeles. Her work has appeared at Carnegie Hall and the Hollywood Bowl, in studio sessions and Emmy-nominated soundtracks, and for four seasons on camera as the cellist on Glee. She performs regularly with orchestras throughout greater Los Angeles and has worked with artists including Shawn Mendes, Geoff Emerick, and Yoshiki.
