Festival Schedule to be published in late May
From Friday evening until Sunday night, The Ouray International Film Festival proposes a variety of events from film screenings to panel discussions to parties and award ceremonies. These are films you won’t see anywhere else, and we’ve curated a surprise lineup of movies that will be announced later in the spring. Whether you’re passing through town and just want to attend our Friday night gala and Director’s Spotlight Event, or if you want to participate in the full weekend of cinema programming, we have options for you:
Our patrons receive admission to all film screenings and festival programming on Saturday and Sunday, as well as admittance to the Opening Night Gala & Director’s Spotlight Event on Friday night. Patrons will have the opportunity to join the Executive Committee and festival artists for wine and dessert at an exclusive after party at Kiser Ranch on Saturday evening. Patrons also receive festival memorabilia to commemorate the inaugural festival.
Provides admission to all film screenings and festival programming on Saturday and Sunday. While the final film lineup will be announced in late April, the festival will screen several blocks of short films and feature-length projects throughout Saturday and Sunday. Pass holders have access to dozens of films from around the world, all of which are uniquely available through our festival. The pass also provides admittance to panel discussions and award ceremonies.
Note: tickets to the Opening Night Gala & Director’s Spotlight event purchased separately.
This kickoff event begins at 6:00 p.m. in the Wright Tavern with a networking gala including a sweet and savory appetizer spread catered by local chefs. At 7:30 pm, we transition upstairs to the Opera House Theatre for a screening of the festival’s first feature-length film. A Q & A session with the director will follow the film. The evening will conclude with a presentation of the Inaugural Director’s Spotlight Award to our surprise honoree.
The festival will screen short films and feature-length films in a cluster of screenings throughout the weekend. Individual tickets for a single short film screening block can be purchased at the door once pass holders have been seated.
